Time-of-Flight and thermal Evo Sensor Evaluation Kit

The compact, modular Time-of-Flight and infrared thermal sensor modules in one, cost-saving kit - ideal for research and development purposes.

The kit is built on our modular Evo sensor family and includes 4 different active Time-of-Flight sensors and 2 infrared thermal cameras with different fields of view. The modular two-part design of Evo sensors allows quick testing and prototyping with a variety of interfaces including USB, UART, and I2C. Just clip-on your preferred interface backboard to any Evo sensor. No additional calibration is required as the sensors stream factory calibrated distance values in millimeters and thermal data in deci kelvins.

The lightweight design of the Evo sensor platform is ideally suited for mobile robotics, while the small-form-factor enables discrete installation in IoT applications, automation solutions and embedded systems. The unique modular design of Evo sensors enables easy plug’n play integration into various platforms, including ROS, Pixhawk, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Odroid and more!

Connect the Evo sensor to a PC and perform quick tests using the USB Backboard in no time. A graphical user interface is also available for demonstration purposes enabling users to stream distance data in millimeters.

Build Android applications with our technology!

Our Android SDK provides an easy way to communicate with Terabee sensors on an Android device. The SDK supports the following sensor models via a USB interface:

TeraRanger Evo 3M
TeraRanger Evo 60M
TeraRanger Evo 64px
TeraRanger Multiflex

The SDK can auto-detect which type of sensor is connected to a device.

To connect the sensor to an Android device, you will need a USB OTG cable and a USB backboard for each sensor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum/maximum working temperature for TeraRanger Evo ?

The generic operating temperatures for TeraRanger Evo distance sensors are from -10°C to 45°C. However, we have run the sensors in our climatic chamber at -20°C and up to 60°C without inducing failures. We are also aware of customers running the sensors in warm environments and we've never yet received feedback of adverse operation or failure. We always recommend our clients to run their own tests to determine suitability to their needs.
