When positioned in a doorway, this room occupancy counter device can keep track of the people passing in both directions through the door as they leave or enter a space. 

The Time-of-Flight technology is able to sense distances between users, gathering non-intrusive depth image data without capturing personal identity. The camera does not need any specific light levels for optimal performance, meaning room occupancy monitoring can be carried out in both light and dark conditions.

This will offer both historical and real-time data regarding a room’s usage pattern and the managers of the device can keep track of when the room is full, empty, over capacity or under capacity. The Evo People Counter works well for room occupancy monitoring as it can ascertain which doorways have been used, where the most footfall occurs and the direction that users are travelling in. This device has been adapted to cover single standard door widths.
