LoRa wireless data transmission provides a cost-effective alternative to installing data cables in buildings, particularly in regions with high labor costs. Furthermore, expanding the system with additional devices is simple and inexpensive, as it leverages the existing network infrastructure.
LoRaWAN devices are configured with unique AES keys, which are used for device authentication and encryption of application payloads. The use of encryption and authentication mechanisms, combined with secure key distribution procedures, ensures the authenticity and security of the transmitted data.
The entire people-counting infrastructure can operate independently of the end-user internal network and gives corporate IT the full peace of mind, knowing the sensor network is completely separate from their sensitive internal systems.
Gateways and people counters (both FLOW and OCCUPANCY) are linked and pre-setup during production, making sure all pieces of the puzzle are designed and cut correctly for a smooth deployment.
Our gateway collects data from People Counters via LoRaWAN and sends it to the network server for verification. It supports Ethernet (PoE), WiFi, and LTE, offering versatile communication options for both new constructions and retrofit projects. The 4G option is particularly valuable as it allows for complete independence from existing building internet infrastructure, creating a fully autonomous people-counting network.
The LoRa gateway manages the wireless infrastructure for People Counting, and is ready to plug into the Terabee BACnet gateway to exchange information with Building Management Systems (BMS). Again, seamless integration is the strong advantage of using factory compatible solutions.
